For Artists
This is the full tour: how Art Easely connects your catalog, website, shop, collectors, prints, and marketing into one system.
Tell us about yourself and we'll show you around.
Why We Built This

Megan Schaugaard is a working oil painter — MFA from the New York Academy of Art, work sold to Brooke Shields at Tribeca Ball, marketing specialist for Fine Art Connoisseur and PleinAir — and she was still running her own career on five disconnected apps, a spreadsheet, and sticky notes.
“Every time I updated one thing, I had to manually update five others. It was exhausting.”
So she asked her husband Gary — a developer who’s built for the Smithsonian and Glasses.com — a simple question: what if we build a platform to keep all of it together? So they did.
“Good business is the best art.”

Here’s the system we built — piece by piece.
Add an artwork to your catalog and it flows to your website, shop, portfolio, submissions, labels, and print-on-demand. No re-entry. Nothing goes stale.

You’re Building A Brand
Presenting your work in a way that matches the quality of what you create doesn’t mean losing who you are. It means looking like the professional you already are.
Your site, labels, and CV match the quality of the work.
Every piece, price, and exhibition is current — everywhere.
Collectors take you as seriously as you take your work.

The marketing plumbing is already connected, so growing your audience doesn’t mean adding another tool.
Newsletter signups sync to Mailchimp, MailerLite, Constant Contact, or SendInBlue.
Every page of your site is structured so collectors can find you.
Pull your Instagram and social content right onto your site.
Publish from the same place you manage everything else.
Capture collectors at shows and openings — straight into your CRM.
Stripe, PayPal, or Square — paid directly to your bank.
The Payoff
Every tool above exists so the admin takes hours instead of weekends — and so your art makes money. Go deeper on any piece of the system:
“Art Easely is the best artist website host I have used. It is built specifically for artists with all the tools we need to manage our work and grow our careers. I finally feel like my online presence matches the quality of my art.”

The Full Story
Megan's story starts the way a lot of artists' do: circling creative work — drawing, photography, graphic design — until oil painting at Utah Tech University made it click. She worked in the campus gallery, found mentors who pushed her to keep going, and realized this wasn't just something she enjoyed. It was what she was supposed to do.
In 2020 she was accepted to the New York Academy of Art — right as COVID hit. Moving the whole family didn't make sense, so she went alone, two years in New York while Gary held down the fort at home with three kids. It was one of the hardest things their family has done.
While she was there, she sold work to Brooke Shields at Tribeca Ball. “Even selling at that level didn't equal overnight success,” she says. “I still needed a system.”
After her MFA, she joined Streamline Publishing as a marketing specialist for Fine Art Connoisseur and PleinAir — and saw the whole industry living her same chaos: one app for the website, another for email, a spreadsheet for inventory, sticky notes for collector contacts, and a CV document that was always out of date.
“Every feature in the platform exists because I experienced the problem firsthand or watched another artist struggle with it.”
Megan Schaugaard, Co-founder & CEO
Two moments crystallized it. At an Art Basel week breakfast, a collector mentioned she was getting tired of housing “poor artists” for a gallery each year — not realizing she was talking to one. And in a faculty meeting, the question came up: “How many of the students who graduate in art will actually become artists?” Why was that narrative so normal?
She kept telling Gary what she was seeing. Finally she asked: what if we build a platform to keep all of it together? He'd built software for the Smithsonian and Glasses.com. She had the art-world experience. They started building Art Easely from their home office — her describing what artists actually need, him figuring out how to build it.
The mission hasn't changed: challenge the starving-artist narrative. The talent was never the problem — the systems were. And in a world filling up with AI-generated everything, the handmade is becoming more valuable, not less. The tools handle the tedious admin. The artist gets back to the studio.
“Now that we can make everything look like it came off a conveyor belt, the imperfection of that which is touched by a human gains immense value.”
